Book Your Session

In the competitive landscape of digital content, audio quality is often the deciding factor in listener retention. At Timolabaadvisory, we understand that a podcast is more than just a conversation; it is an intimate experience between the speaker and the audience. To preserve this intimacy while eliminating distracting background noise, we provide a dedicated recording environment within our 120m² facility, specifically engineered to capture the natural timbre of the human voice without the interference of urban Sapporo noise.

Our approach goes beyond providing a room and a microphone. Every session is overseen by a professional recording engineer who optimizes gain stages and microphone placement in real-time. By capturing clean, balanced source audio, we significantly reduce the burden of post-production, allowing you to move from the recording booth to the publishing platform with greater efficiency and sonic confidence. Whether you are recording a solo narrative or a complex multi-guest panel, we tailor the technical setup to your specific content goals.

The 4-Step Recording Process

01

Pre-Session Briefing

We discuss the number of participants, the tone of the content, and the expected speaking style. This allows us to plan the optimal microphone selection and spatial arrangement before you arrive.

02

Technical Setup

Our engineer configures the equipment, adjusting gain and EQ to match each speaker's unique vocal characteristics. We conduct a short test recording to verify volume balance and phase coherence.

03

The Recording Session

We provide a relaxed atmosphere conducive to natural conversation. The engineer monitors the feed in real-time to prevent clipping and ensure no unexpected acoustic artifacts enter the track.

04

Export and Delivery

Recorded data is organized and exported into your required formats. We provide secure delivery of the raw multi-track files and a reference master for your immediate review.

Who This Service Is For

Our professional podcasting suite is designed for creators who have reached the limits of home recording. If you are battling air conditioning hum, street traffic, or the "boxy" sound of an untreated room, our studio offers a sanctuary of silence. We also cater to B2B corporate entities producing internal or external podcasts where audio fidelity is a direct reflection of corporate professionalism and brand authority.

Furthermore, the studio is ideal for interview-style content. By using separate high-quality microphones for each guest, we record every voice onto an individual track. This isolation is critical; it allows for precise volume balancing and noise gating during the editing phase, a level of control that is impossible when recording multiple people into a single microphone.

Studio Workflow and Experience

Once your booking is confirmed, you will be welcomed into our Sapporo facility. The process begins in the control room, where you will meet your assigned engineer to finalize the goals of the session. You then move into the recording booth, where we prioritize physical comfort. Because "ease of speech" is paramount for a natural podcast flow, we arrange the seating and microphone heights to avoid tension in the shoulders or neck.

During the recording, the engineer monitors the audio via high-fidelity headphones. If a speaker moves too close to the microphone, causing "plosive" pops, or drifts too far, the engineer provides immediate, discreet feedback. This real-time quality control minimizes the need for retakes and ensures the session remains on schedule.

Client Preparation Checklist

To maximize the efficiency of your paid studio time, we recommend the following preparations. First, provide a detailed outline or script. While a word-for-word script isn't always necessary for podcasts, a clear structural map prevents rambling and reduces the number of "false starts" that need to be edited out later. If you have specific intro/outro music or jingles, please send these to us in advance or bring them on a drive.

Regarding attire, we suggest avoiding fabrics that create noise when moving—such as stiff nylon jackets or heavy jewelry that might clink against the desk or microphone stand. We also recommend staying hydrated; while we provide water in the studio, arriving well-hydrated helps prevent mouth clicks and ensures a smoother vocal delivery.

Deliverables and Technical Specifications

Upon completion of the session, we deliver the audio in a professional format. The primary deliverable is the "RAW data"—unprocessed multi-track files in WAV format. This ensures that if you hire an external editor, they have the highest possible quality to work with. We also provide a combined MP3 export for quick review and archival purposes.

All files are delivered at a minimum sampling rate of 44.1kHz/24-bit, adhering to global podcasting standards. Delivery is handled via a secure cloud transfer link with a specified expiration date to ensure your intellectual property is handled safely.

Timelines and Scheduling

Standard data export is completed within 1 to 2 business days following the session. If you only require the raw, unedited files, we can often provide these on the same day. However, if basic noise cleanup or level normalization is requested, we ask for a 48-hour window to ensure quality control.

For clients with a recurring publishing schedule, we offer monthly block bookings. This allows you to secure a consistent time slot in our calendar, ensuring your production cycle remains stable and predictable.

What Is Not Included

This specific plan is focused exclusively on the "recording" phase. Consequently, detailed post-production—such as removing "ums" and "ahs," inserting background music, or synthesizing complex intros—is not included. These tasks are covered under our separate Mixing & Mastering service. We also do not provide platform upload services or graphic design for podcast thumbnails.

Additionally, conceptual planning, scriptwriting, or guest casting are not part of this service. We specialize in the technical capture of your content. For an end-to-end production package, please visit our Services hub.

Pricing Structure and VAT

Pricing is calculated based on the total studio duration in one-hour increments. All listed prices include the 10% Japanese consumption tax. For B2B clients, we provide detailed invoices specifying the net amount and the tax separately. A deposit of 30% is required at the time of booking to secure the date; this amount is credited toward your final balance.

Our cancellation policy allows for free changes or cancellations up to 3 days before the scheduled recording. Cancellations made within this window will result in the forfeiture of the deposit. For full legal details, please refer to our Terms of Service.
