Our Journey and Philosophy

Established in 2018 in the Chuo-ku district of Sapporo, Timolabaadvisory was founded on the principle that a studio should be more than just a place to capture sound. We strive to be a technical partner that helps artists fully realize their original expressive intent.

Drawing inspiration from the serenity and creative energy of Sapporo, we have developed a versatile infrastructure capable of handling everything from intimate vocal sessions and full band recordings to modern podcast production. Our core approach is based on honest engineering—prioritizing the natural quality of the source material over excessive artificial processing.

Professional Staff

Our team consists of specialists proficient in every stage of the recording process. We focus on accurately understanding the client's vision to build a precise and balanced sonic image.

  • Mei Abe — Studio Manager / Director. Oversees overall studio operations and project management.
  • Mana Kimura — Chief Engineer. Specializes in advanced mixing techniques and acoustic design to ensure final quality.
  • Mio Nakamura — Recording Engineer. Supports the session flow and optimizes microphone placement on site.

Equipment and Environment

Our 120m² facility features three purpose-built rooms: a live room, a vocal booth, and a control room. The space is designed to accommodate up to 6 people simultaneously, making it suitable for small ensemble or band recordings.

To ensure a pure capture of sound with minimal noise, we utilize a professional array of large-diaphragm condenser mics, accurate near-field monitors, and comprehensive acoustic treatment throughout the studio.

How We Work

We employ a workflow that emphasizes thorough preparation. The process begins with an inquiry where we discuss the recording goals, composition, and desired sonic direction. Once the session is booked, our engineers handle the technical setup and microphone placement to ensure the recording proceeds efficiently.

During the post-recording phase (mixing and mastering), we maintain close communication with the client to refine the sound through a structured revision process. All final files are delivered in industry-standard formats, ready for immediate distribution or further production.
